Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 31 July 2026
Please read these terms before you order. When you place an order on bombay3dstudio.com you are agreeing to them.
1 Who we are
Bombay 3D Studio is the trading name of JP Designs, a design and 3D-printing studio in Mumbai. We print everything we sell ourselves, on our own machines, on a rack in our own studio — there is no third-party seller on this site and no marketplace. That means if something is wrong with what you receive, we are the people responsible for it.

Where we deliver. We currently deliver within Maharashtra only — we print in Mumbai and ship to Maharashtra addresses. The checkout will not accept a delivery address in another State. We will say so on this page the day that changes.
Our grievance officer’s details are in §11.
2 What we sell, and what “personalised” means
We currently sell two products:
- Keychain — a 3D-printed oval tag with a name on it. You choose the name (up to 12 characters), the tag colour and the text colour from the swatches on the product page. You can put as many names in one order as you like, up to 50, each in its own colour.
- QR Code Stand — a propped desk stand with a QR code printed into it (Wi-Fi, a link, a contact card, or a UPI payment) plus a text label underneath. It is a two-colour print: the card body in one filament and the QR modules and label in a second.
Both are printed in PLA, a rigid plant-derived plastic, on Bambu Lab A1-family machines in our Mumbai studio. Colours are matched to real filament spools, so what you see on screen is close but not exact — screens and plastic do not render colour identically.
Three things about personalisation you should know before you order:
- Almost everything we make is made to order and made only for you. We do not hold stock of a keychain with your name on it. We start printing after your payment is confirmed. This is why personalised items cannot be returned for a change of mind — see §8 and /legal/refund.
- We print exactly the text you type. We check it against a character limit (12 characters) and an allowed character set (English letters A–Z and a–z, digits 0–9, space, apostrophe and hyphen — no emoji, no other scripts). We do not correct your spelling, capitalisation or spacing. Please check it on the preview before you pay.
- Fonts. The product page shows several fonts. Today only Classic Bold is wired into our print pipeline. If you pick any other font we will contact you and either substitute Classic Bold or refund you in full if you would rather not go ahead — we will not silently print it in the wrong font. We are working on the rest.
For the QR Code Stand, we reject low-contrast colour pairs (for example gold on silver) because a phone camera cannot read them. That is a function check, not a style preference — the picker will tell you when a pair is not allowed.
3 Price, taxes and charges
- All prices on this site are in Indian Rupees (₹) and are shown on the product and cart pages before you pay.
- Keychain: ₹200 per name. If a single keychain line carries more than 5 names, every name in that line drops to ₹99. The cart works this out for you.
- QR Code Stand: ₹999.
- The price you see at checkout is the whole price. We do not add a delivery charge, a handling charge, a packaging charge, a payment-gateway fee or a “convenience fee” at any stage. Delivery within Maharashtra is included in the price.
- JP Designs is not currently registered under GST, so no GST is charged on your order and your invoice will not carry a GSTIN. This will change once we register, and this page will be updated on the day it does.
- If a price is displayed wrongly because of a technical error, we will tell you before we print, and you can either confirm at the correct price or cancel for a full refund. We will not charge you more than the price you agreed to.
4 How an order is formed
Adding something to your cart is not an order. When you complete checkout and pay, you are making an offer to buy. Our acceptance is the confirmation email we send you with your order number. If we cannot accept your order — the text will not fit legibly, the colour pair will not scan, your delivery address is outside Maharashtra, or we simply cannot make it in time — we will tell you and refund you in full.
We do not tick any consent box for you. Nothing is added to your cart or your order without you choosing it.
5 Payment
We are prepaid only. There is no cash on delivery. You can pay:
- By card, UPI, net banking or wallet through Razorpay, our payment gateway. Razorpay is an RBI-authorised payment aggregator and handles the payment page. We never see or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or bank credentials — those go to Razorpay, not to us. All we get back is a payment reference.
- By UPI transfer straight to our account. You scan our QR or pay our UPI ID from your own app, and someone at our end confirms the money has landed before we start printing. This route has no gateway in the middle, so it is manual and can take a little longer to confirm.
Your order is only in the print queue once payment is confirmed. If payment fails or is never confirmed, no charge stands and nothing is printed.
6 Cancellation
You can cancel free of charge at any time before we start printing, and we will refund you in full. Once your pieces are on a print bed we cannot cancel, because a keychain with someone else’s name on it has no second buyer.
Practically: email support@bombay3dstudio.com with your order number as soon as you can. Our system blocks cancellation once an order moves to “printed”, so speed matters.
We do not charge a cancellation fee. If we cancel your order after you have paid — for any reason, including a capacity problem at our end — you get a full refund and we do not deduct anything.
7 Turnaround, dispatch and delays
Full detail is in /legal/shipping. In short:
- We print to order. Actual printing is fast: a single-name keychain takes about 4 minutes of machine time and even a 50-name order is a little over 3 hours of printing. What takes the rest of the time is batching your order with others by colour, changing filament, checking the pieces, packing and the courier pickup.
- We dispatch every order within 5 working days of payment confirmation — keychains and QR Code Stands alike. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in Maharashtra. If you pay on a Saturday, the clock starts Monday. That is the time from confirmed payment to the parcel leaving our studio — the courier’s own transit time is on top, and it is set out in /legal/shipping.
- Bulk and corporate orders do not run on these timelines. Every volume run gets a written production and delivery schedule with the quote, which you approve before we start. See /bulk.
- If we are going to be late, we will email you before the date, not after it, and you can choose to wait or to cancel for a full refund.
8 Returns, replacements and refunds
The full policy is at /legal/refund and forms part of these terms. The short version:
- Personalised items cannot be returned or exchanged for a change of mind, a mis-typed name, or a colour that looked different on your screen. They are made only for you and cannot be resold to anyone else.
- We do replace or refund, at our cost, if we got it wrong — a print defect, the wrong item, the wrong name or colour against what your order says, or damage in transit. Tell us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and we will sort it out.
9 Your artwork, our designs
Your artwork stays yours. If you send us a logo, a design or a file for a bulk or corporate order, you keep all ownership of it. We use it only to make and deliver your order, and we will not use it in our portfolio, on social media, or in a sample shown to anyone else without asking you first in writing.
In return, you confirm that you own the artwork or have permission to use it, and that printing it does not infringe anybody else’s copyright or trade mark. We will not knowingly print a third party’s logo or copyrighted character for someone who has no right to it, and we may refuse an order on that basis.
Our designs stay ours. The 3D models, the site, the photographs and the Bombay 3D Studio name and logo belong to JP Designs. Buying a keychain does not buy you the model file, and you may not resell, redistribute or reproduce our designs commercially.
10 What we do not promise
We would rather be straight with you than hide behind a wall of disclaimers:
- 3D printing has visible layer lines and small cosmetic variation between pieces. That is how the process works, not a defect.
- PLA is rigid, not indestructible. It will crack under enough force and it softens in sustained heat — do not leave a keychain on a car dashboard in May.
- Colours are matched to filament spools and will not be an exact match to your screen.
- A QR Code Stand will scan reliably in normal indoor light with the colour pairs we allow. We cannot promise every phone camera in every lighting condition.
None of this limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 2019. If we sell you a defective product, we are liable for it.
11 Grievance redressal
If something has gone wrong, please write to support@bombay3dstudio.com first — most things are fixed the same day.
If that does not resolve it, our grievance officer is:
- Name
- Jagdeep Nagpal
- Designation
- Proprietor
- Address
- JP Designs (trading as Bombay 3D Studio), Nagpal House, 35th Road, Khar West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400050
We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month of receiving it. In practice the acknowledgement is immediate: writing to either address above gets you an automatic reply with a ticket reference within moments, and a person picks it up after that. That is the timeline the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 require of us, and we hold ourselves to it.
You can also contact the National Consumer Helpline on 1915 or consumerhelpline.gov.in at any point. Talking to us first is not a condition of your rights.
12 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Mumbai will have jurisdiction over any dispute — except that nothing here takes away your right as a consumer to complain to the consumer commission where you live, under the Consumer Protection Act 2019.
13 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms — for example when we add a product, change a courier, or register for GST. The “last updated” date at the top always tells you the current version. Changes are not retrospective: the terms that apply to your order are the ones that were on this page when you paid.
